Budget savings of between €3.6bn to €4bn are expected in order to get Ireland’s finances in line with the bailout agreement
This week some disagreement emerged in the coalition government over Budget 2012 – with Labour’s Energy Minister Pat Rabbitte saying he was against adding to planned austerity measures for next year beyond a planned 3.6 billion euros .
Finance Minister Michael Noonan ( Fine Gael ) has been saying that said the government would impose savings of more than 3.6 billion euros if that was needed.
